Description
The Crown Inn is a building that dates from the early 18th century and is now part of a public house. It is constructed of painted brick and features a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys with an attic and a five-window range. The central entrance consists of a three-panelled door, flanked by four-pane sash windows that have flat-arched gauged brick heads. To the right, there is an archway leading to a rear passage. The upper floor also has four-pane sash windows, along with one narrower two-pane sash window, all featuring flat-arched gauged brick heads. There are string courses at each floor level and two dormers in the roof. The Crown Inn adjoins Nos 26 and 27 Abbey Foregate, and together they form part of the public house.
