Description

23 Abbey Foregate is a house that has been converted into a restaurant. It dates from the early 18th century, though it may have an earlier core. The building is constructed of brick and has a plain tiled roof. The gable faces the street and features an inserted shop front in a traditional style, along with an inserted window above it. There are traces of a blocked former opening in the gable apex, and the gable is topped with crow-stepped coping. The house has side and rear wall stacks. Inside, it is said to include a 17th-century staircase.
