Description

Nos 2 and 3 Victoria Road are a pair of modest cottages dating from around 1600. No 2 features a timber frame with painted brick, is two storeys high, and has simple casement windows. It also has a ledged door with a straightforward weather-hood, old tiles on the roof, and stone foundations. No 3 is connected to No 2 and is roughcast, with one three-light casement window and a simple doorway that has steps leading up to it. To the right, the Smithy, which is linked to No 3, is built of coursed rubble and also stands two storeys tall. It has two simple casement windows and an open cart bay on the left with an elliptical-arched head. Together, these buildings create a picturesque range.
