Description
The Gaskell Arms Hotel is a Regency building located on the south side of Much Wenlock High Street. Constructed from red brick, it stands two storeys high and features two three-light angular bays that are tiered over the two storeys, topped with curved leaded roofs. The central section of the building has three sash windows with plain lintels. It also includes a moulded wood doorcase with a segmental head, a traceried fanlight, and a six-panelled door. The eaves are dentilled, and there is a plain pilastered wing on the right-hand side. This hotel was formerly known as the White Swan and is built on the site of Rindleford Hall, of which the stone foundations still remain. The Gaskell Arms Hotel, along with Nos 9 to 34 (consecutive) and The Old Vicarage, forms a group of listed buildings.
