Description

The Fox Hotel is an early 19th-century building located on the north side of High Street in Much Wenlock. It is constructed of painted brick and features two storeys plus an attic. The façade includes two windows set in painted reveals, which are adorned with keyblocks and stepped lintels. The entrance is highlighted by a moulded wood doorcase, which has a plain perron that has been overbuilt by a later open porch. To the right side of the main building, there is a single-storeyed wing. The roof has two dormers, brick eaves, and is covered with old tiles. The Fox Hotel, along with Nos 40 to 45 and Nos 47 to 49, forms a group of buildings of historical interest.
