Description
No. 85 Heath Hill is a cottage dating from the early 17th century, with alterations and additions made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is timber framed, featuring square panels and angle braces, with painted brick nogging and some partial rebuilding. There are also painted brick additions and a concrete tile roof. The cottage has two framed bays on the west side and is one and a half storeys high.
The north front includes a central dormer with raking eaves, which has a two-light casement window, and an off-centre ridge stack to the right. The front is irregular with three windows, featuring 19th and 20th-century casements. To the right, there are two boarded doors, one located between the first and second windows from the right, which is accompanied by a 19th-century gabled porch. Another boarded door is situated between the second and third windows from the right. To the left, there is a single-storey 20th-century addition with a central ridge stack.
