Description
Brandon House is a 17th-century timber-framed cottage that has had extensions added in the 18th and 19th centuries. The original cottage is located to the south-east and is positioned at right angles to the road. It features timber framing with red brick infill panels and has a plain tile roof with gabled ends. The building is one storey with an attic and has a two-window range. There are 19th and 20th-century casements and two large gabled dormers. A late 19th-century porch is also present, along with a large central brick chimney stack. The cottage was extended in red brick at the south-west end during the 19th century, and a large brick wing was added to the north-west in the 18th century, which was further extended in the late 19th century with a gable facing the road.
