Description

No. 10 Aston is a cottage built in the mid-19th century, featuring later additions and alterations. It is constructed from regularly coursed and dressed sandstone, with red brick used at the apexes of the gable ends and on the rear left side. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has integral brick end stacks. The cottage is two storeys high, with windows on either side of a central entrance. These windows are round-arched, multi-paned, and fitted with top-hung and side-hung cast-iron casements. The entrance features a plain boarded door topped by a 19th-century gabled hood.
