Description

No. 23 Town Street is a cottage, likely built in the late 18th century and altered in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with brick dressings and features a brick stack at the right end of a pantile roof. The cottage has a two-storey, one-window front with a pent wing on the right side. To the left, there is a four-panel door next to a 2x12 pane sliding sash window, both of which are set beneath segmental brick arches. The first-floor window is also a 2x12 pane sliding sash with a painted sill, located beneath a thin timber lintel.
