Description

The Parry Memorial is a pedestal tomb located approximately 20 metres north of the north aisle of the Church of St George. It dates from the early to mid-19th century and is constructed of sandstone ashlar. The memorial features a moulded plinth, sunken panels, a string course, a carved scroll frieze, a moulded cornice, and a concave capping that supports an ovoid finial with a central raised band. It commemorates Jane Parry, who died in 1857. The design reflects an 18th-century pattern that was still in use during the 19th century.
