Description
The Parry monument is a pedestal tomb located in the churchyard about 3 meters south of the south-west corner of the south transept of the Church of All Saints. It commemorates John Parry, who died in 1796, and is made of stone. The monument features a small, weathered square pyramid cap that sits above a torus moulding and a step, with a weathered margin on the lid that has a moulded edge. The sides are adorned with a leaf frieze and oval, fielded panels. The corners are accentuated by very elongated quarter-square balusters, and it rests on a low plinth. The earliest inscription includes a long 's' and a verse below, with later inscriptions added up to the mid-19th century.
