Description

The Parry memorial is a chest tomb located about 12 metres south of the south porch of the Church of St Andrew in Bredwardine. It commemorates George Parry, who died in 1826. The tomb is made of ashlar and features bold corner balusters adorned with paterae. It has a rectangular inscription panel flanked by husks, a frieze also decorated with paterae, a moulded cornice, and a bevelled top. The inscription reads: "Sacred to the Memory of/ Mr George Parry Junior Late of/ Old-Court in this Parish/ Who departed this Life/ May 31st 1828. Aged 23 Years".
