2/146 Barn approximately - 10 metres to north of Heath Farmhouse - II

Threshing barn. C17 with C19 horse engine house. Weatherboarded timber frame, limestone rubble plinth, graded slate and corrugated iron roof; engine house with coursed limestone rubble piers, weatherboarding between, and hipped graded slate roof. 3 framed bays with polygonal horse engine house projecting from centre bay to north. Framing: square panels, 3 up to wall plate. Interior: inserted C19 floor in centre bay; double purlin roof, queen strut end trusses with V-struts; middle trusses with inclined queen struts; machine- sawn king post truss in engine house.
