Description
This is a mid-18th century threshing barn with an attached horse engine house, located to the northeast of Croft Farmhouse. The barn features red brick construction with pantile roofs and raised back gables. The north front has slightly projecting central threshing doors beneath a continuous roof, which includes a pair of large plank doors. To the right, there is a large upper loft doorway with a plank door, and beyond that, a low lean-to addition attached to the west gable wall. To the left, the projecting horse engine house is half octagonal in plan, topped with a hipped pantile roof supported on brick and rubble piers. The east gable has an upper loft doorway that is now boarded. Late 18th century additions are also present.
