Description
This building is a barn and vehicle entrance located approximately 40 meters east of number 17 in Clunton. It dates from the late 17th century and has undergone some later alterations. The structure features a weatherboarded timber frame set on an uncoursed limestone rubble plinth, topped with a corrugated iron roof. The barn includes doorways on the left, right, and center, with the vehicle entrance positioned at right angles to the west. Inside, the framing is visible, showcasing square and rectangular panels. The roof has a double-purlin design spanning three bays, with raking struts connecting the tie beams to the principal rafters, two central trusses, and collar and tie beam end trusses that include V-struts from the collar. There is a loft in the right bay.
