Description

This milestone, located approximately 1,000 metres to the north-east of Lea Castle, dates from the mid to late 19th century. It is made of white painted stone and features black lettering. The top of the milestone is rounded, and it is inscribed with the word "MILES" radially at the top, followed by the distances to various locations: "C H STOKE 6½/M BROOK 7¼/ C ARMS 8" below.
