Description

This milestone, located approximately 220 metres south of Heblands Cottage, dates from the mid to late 19th century. It is made of white painted stone with black lettering and features a rounded top. The inscription reads "MILES" radially at the top, with "B CASTLE 1" and "CH STOKE 4" below. It was previously inscribed with "CH STOKE 4½".
