Description

The Home is a house that likely dates back to around 1700, with significant extensions and remodeling occurring in the early 19th century, along with later additions and alterations. The earlier section is built of uncoursed limestone rubble, while the rear features painted brick. The 19th-century addition has stucco rendering and projecting eaves, and the entire building has slate roofs.

The house has an H-plan layout with flush gabled cross-wings, which are partly hidden by the L-shaped addition on the left. The original part has two storeys and an attic, while the 19th-century addition also has two storeys. The 18th-century main range features two gabled cross-wings with attics and has a window arrangement of 1:2:1 at the rear, with all windows being sashes under segmental heads, except for the ground floor which has casements. There are brick floor bands at the rear, a prominent external rubblestone stack on the right, and a brick stack at the rear.

The L-shaped 19th-century addition has a window arrangement of 1:2, with glazing bar sashes, and the right side of the main range features painted imitation glazing bars. The entrance is located in the angle between the two ranges, featuring a 20th-century half-glazed double door within a plain early 19th-century doorcase, and there are two red brick stacks. The garden front has two bays with 15-paned glazing bar sashes on the ground floor. Access to the interior is not permitted.
