Description

This milestone was erected between 1826 and 1827 along Thomas Telford's Holyhead Road. It is made of limestone, which may have been painted at a later date, and features a slightly recessed cast-iron plate. The inscription on the milestone reads "HOLY-/ HEAD / 93-M / SALOP / 13M-6F."
