Description

This milestone, erected between 1826 and 1827, is located on Thomas Telford's Holyhead Road. It is made of limestone, which may have been painted later, and features a slightly recessed cast-iron plate. The inscription reads "HOLY / HEAD / 87-M / SALOP / 19M-6F".
