Description

Milestone erected between 1826 and 1827 on Thomas Telford's Holyhead Road. It is made of limestone, which may have been painted later, and features a recessed cast-iron plate. The inscription reads "HOLY-/HEAD/ 91-M/SALOP/15M-6F".
