Description
Pool Farmhouse is a red brick farmhouse, dating to approximately 1752, with later additions and alterations. It has a slate roof with integral end stacks. The building now forms an L-shape, created by the addition of a single-story kitchen range to the rear in the late 19th century. The front facade has a dentilled eaves cornice and is arranged with three windows. The windows are mid-19th century casements, set within original openings and have projecting keystones to the stone lintels. A central entrance is accessed via a 20th-century half-glazed door within a stone doorcase with a bracketed hood. A datestone marked "JT" is visible to the right gable end, also bearing the date 1752.
