Description

Corbett's Bridge, also known as Bridge Number 75, is a canal bridge built around 1796 by engineers William Jessop and Thomas Telford. It is constructed from red brick and features a coped parapet. The bridge has a segmental arch, a string course, and corner piers. This section of the Ellesmere Canal was opened in 1796 to connect with the Montgomeryshire Canal at Carreghofa and became part of the Shropshire Union Canal in 1846.
