7/34 Hunt memorial - approx. 15 metres to north of Church of Saint Oswald

Pedestal tomb. Dated 1826. Red sandstone ashlar. Neo-classical style. Chamfered plinth; corner piers with carved reeded ornament and flaming torches; triangular-pedimented top with antefixae and festooned blank medallion in tympanum to south. Inscribed: "SACRED/TO THE MEMORY OF/ ELIZABETH/the Wife of/JEREMIAH HUNT/ OF APLEY-LODGE/near Wellington:/Who died September/13th 1826:/AGED 60 YEARS".
