Description

The monument to William Huntley is located in the churchyard about 3 metres north-west of the north-west buttress of the nave of the Church of St Mary. This mid-18th century pedestal tomb is made of sandstone and features a flat pyramidal cap with a moulded edge and a fluted frieze. It has quarter balusters, flat panels with sunk margins and haunched arched tops, as well as a moulded base. The earliest decipherable date on the monument is 176-, with the inscription indicating William Huntley, 1820.
