Description

Sambrook Mill, dated 1853, was originally a watermill and subsequently converted into a house. It is constructed of red brick with sandstone dressings and has a plain tile roof with stone coping to the gable ends, featuring large stone kneelers. The building is three storeys high, with a basement and attic, and comprises four bays. It has cast-iron multi-pane windows set within segmental arched openings. A moulded stone doorway is located on the south-west end, with a stone plaque above it inscribed 'Erected AD 1853'. A single-storey range adjoins the building on the south-east. Group value is present, reflecting the building's contribution to the area's character.
