Description
Showell Mill is a small 18th century watermill dated 1778, constructed of red brick. It features a plain tile roof with parapet gable ends and brick dentil eaves. The building is one storey high, with an attic and basement. It has segmental brick arch doorways and window openings. On the south end wall, there are pigeon holes with a stone plaque above that bears the initials T.K. and the date 1778. Additionally, there is another plaque in the gable inscribed T.K.G. Esqs. 1851. Inside the mill, there is machinery, but it is not in working order, and the wheel is missing.
