Description

BRIMPTON BRIMPTON ROAD (south side) SU 56NE 3/54 Brimpton Mill 6.4.67 - II

Watermill. Dated 1773 on stone above south-east door. Red brick with dentil brick eaves cornice to old tile hipped roof. South-east front with 2 hipped dormers either side of central weatherboarded gable with window, over centre 3 bays. 3 storeys and attic; 5 bays, glazing bar sashes. Buttresses rising to first floor between first and second, and third and fourth bays. Central doorway with date stone in tympanum of arch above. Boarded doors in right hand bay on ground and first floors, arched opening in left hand bay on ground floor.
