Description
Brimpton Mill is a watermill dated 1773, located on Brimpton Road. It is constructed of red brick and features a dentil brick eaves cornice beneath an old tile hipped roof. The southeast front has two hipped dormers flanking a central weatherboarded gable that contains a window, above three central bays. The building stands three storeys high with an attic and has five bays with glazing bar sashes. There are buttresses that rise to the first floor between the first and second, and third and fourth bays. The central doorway has a date stone in the tympanum of the arch above it. There are boarded doors in the right-hand bay on both the ground and first floors, while the left-hand bay on the ground floor features an arched opening.
