Description
Waithe Water Mill is a watermill built in 1813. It is constructed of red brick and has a pantile roof. The building is two stories high with a loft and features a three-bay front with a corbelled eaves band. The off-center planked stable door is accompanied by a fixed light to the left and an opening that houses the mill wheel. On the first floor, there are two openings with hinged lights, and all openings have segmental heads. The left gable displays ties dated "1813," while the right gable has ties with the initials "TW." Inside, the floors are intact, and the mill features stop-chamfered beams with run-out stops. Some machinery remains, including three grinding stones and applewood cog wheels. The roof is made of softwood butt purlins and is pegged.
