Description
Tetney House is a mid-18th century house that was altered around 1900. It is constructed of red brick with painted stucco dressings and features a concrete tiled roof. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands three stories tall with a five-bay front. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door with an overlight that has Gothick tracery, topped by a flat hood supported on 19th-century carved brackets. On either side of the entrance are rectangular bays from around 1900, each containing a pair of plain sash windows. The first floor has five glazing bar sash windows, while the second floor features five shorter windows of a similar style. All upper windows are adorned with splayed stucco lintels that include key blocks. Inside, there is a fireplace with a panelled surround, flanked by glazed latticed front cupboards in the left-hand room.
