Description

Kiln Cottage is a cottage dating from around 1600. It is timber framed with a brick front on the west side and an old tiled roof. The cottage features a ridge stack that is off-centre to the right, an end stack to the left, and a gabled semi-dormer on the right. It has three framed bays and stands at one and a half storeys tall. The front has an irregular arrangement of three windows, all of which are 20th-century leaded casements. The second window from the left is a V-shaped 20th-century bay with a tiled roof. There is a boarded door located between the second and third windows from the left, which is sheltered by a 20th-century gabled porch. The timber frame is exposed on the south side, showcasing arch braces and a queen post truss. Additionally, there is a 20th-century one-storey addition to the north.
