Description
Mow Cop is a small red brick house dated 1749. It features a plain tile roof with crow-stepped gable ends and brick dentil eaves, along with a brick stringcourse. The house is three storeys high and has three bays. The 19th-century windows are mullion/transom casements set in segmental arched openings. The centre first floor is blind and contains a sandstone plaque with the initial S over WF and the date 1749. There is a central segmental arched doorway with a plank door and a late 19th-century gabled hood. The house has brick end chimney stacks. To the right, there is a later wing that was heightened to two storeys around the early 20th century.
