Description

These stables, located approximately 20 meters north-east of The White House, were likely built in the late 17th century. They feature a weatherboarded timber frame set on a rubblestone plinth, with gables that have been partially rebuilt in red brick and a corrugated iron roof. The south side of the building has one boarded door and one stable door at the center, along with a ventilated opening to the right. Inside, the stables showcase framing with two rectangular panels and straight tension braces. There is an inserted loft and a single-purlin roof divided into two bays, featuring a central Queen post truss and straight windbraces. The ground floor includes mid-19th century stable boxes on the left.
