Description
12 and 13 Pride Hill are a pair of shops located in Shrewsbury. They date from the early 18th century, although they may have an earlier core. The buildings are constructed of brick and topped with plain tiled roofs. They rise three storeys with attic dormers and feature a five-window range, which has late 20th-century shop fronts added. The upper windows are flush-framed 12-pane sashes, with the glazing bars removed from the lower lights. These windows have moulded architraves with pedimented heads on the first floor, while the second-floor windows have plain architraves. A moulded wood modillion eaves cornice runs along the overhanging roof, and there are stacks towards the rear of each gable.
