Description

1 and 2 Butcher Row are a pair of shops built in the mid-18th century. They are constructed of brick and feature a plain tiled roof. The buildings stand two storeys tall with attic dormers and have a four-window arrangement. Late 20th-century shop fronts have been inserted, which include outer doors and bow windows. The upper windows are flush-framed twelve-pane sashes with segmentally-arched brick heads. There is a plain eaves band and a coped gable on the left side, along with an axial stack.
