Description
Nos. 3 and 4 Butcher Row are a pair of shops built around 1800. They are constructed of brick and have a roof that is not visible behind the parapet eaves. The buildings rise three storeys and feature a four-window range. Late 20th-century shop fronts have been inserted, with an outer door to the right and bow windows. Access to No. 3 is through No. 2. Above the shop fronts, there are flush-framed 12-pane sash windows, with 6 panes in the attic, each featuring flat-arched gauged brick heads and a continuous sill band on every floor. The buildings also have a moulded eaves cornice, as well as gable and axial stacks.
