Description
The Wellings Memorial is a pedestal tomb located approximately 15 metres north of the north aisle of the Church of St George. It dates from around 1830 and is constructed of sandstone ashlar. The memorial features a moulded plinth, raised panels with quadrant corners, an entablature with a moulded cornice, and concave capping topped with a square finial that is gabled on each face. It commemorates Elizabeth Wellings, who died in 1830, and Martha Wellings, who died in 1832.
