Description
Castle View is a house built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a plain tile roof. The building has two storeys and includes a toothed brick eaves cornice, as well as stone-coped parapeted gable ends with moulded stone kneelers. There is an integral brick end stack on the right side and a brick ridge stack that is off-centre to the left. The house has three bays on the right, with segmental-headed three-light wooden casements, and a central first-floor segmental-headed two-light wooden casement. The central entrance door is made up of six raised and fielded panels, with the top two being glazed, and it is framed by a moulded architrave and a bracketed flat hood. To the left, there is a slightly later one-bay addition, which features a three-light first-floor casement and a pair of large ground-floor half-glazed doors with a large overlight. The interior has not been inspected.
