Description

This milepost, located approximately 10 metres to the west of Shawbury Bridge, dates from the early to mid-19th century. It is made of painted cast iron and features a triangular section with a chamfered top and beaded corners. The left side has superscribed serif lettering that reads "WELLINGTON/9/MILES," while the right side displays "WEM/6/MILES."
