Description

No. 4 Clun Road is an estate cottage, likely built in the late 18th century, with some minor alterations made later. The building is constructed from uncoursed limestone rubble and features a conical graded slate roof topped with a circular stone chimney in the center. It has a circular plan and stands two stories tall.

On the front, there are 19th-century cast-iron casement windows, one on each floor, with the upper window positioned directly below the eaves. To the left on the ground floor is a tall narrow 20th-century window. The entrance is round-headed and includes a boarded door with a semi-circular fanlight above it.

Inside, one of the ground-floor rooms has an open fireplace with a segmental wooden lintel. The joists are made from unworked tree branches, and the first floor features wide boarded elm floorboards.
