Description
These gates and gate piers, located approximately 20 meters to the northwest of Shooter's Hill, date from around 1830. They are made of painted cast and wrought iron. The structure features a pair of gates set between square-section piers, with short sections of railings that slope down to smaller piers. The railings are decorated with embellished anthemion heads, dog rails, and dog bars, all featuring anthemion heads. The lattice piers are adorned with anthemion ornament and topped with globe finials. This structure is included for its group value.
