Description
The railings, gatepiers, and gates opposite The Hill date from the early 19th century. They feature square ashlar gatepiers with moulded caps at the southern end. The cast iron gates and railings are decorated with urns and an anthemion design. This structure originally formed part of the estate of The Hall. The railings extend 50 yards to the north, ending in another square pier located 15 yards from the northern end. The railings are ramped up over a spring, with a stone basin situated below.
