Description

This is a house, dating from the early 19th century and altered in the mid- to late 19th century. It is constructed of ashlar, with hipped slate roofs hidden behind a parapet, and a moulded cornice. The house has three storeys and a basement in the central section, and two storeys and a basement in the slightly recessed wings. There are a total of five bays, arranged as 1-3-1. The mid- to late 19th-century windows are large-pane sash windows in plain surrounds.

The front elevation features a projecting three-storey porch tower in the centre, which incorporates a Tuscan column porch on the ground floor and a bracketed oriel window on the first floor, with a canopy above. A panelled door sits beneath a decorative overlight, and a band runs above the ground floor.

On the garden side, there is a projecting, single-storey and basement extension with a balustraded parapet. The outer four bays are rusticated, and there is a central setback loggia with four antae and decorated capitals. Balustrated double staircases lead to the loggia, and a balustrade continues along the front of the loggia.
