Description

Freshford Bridge is a bridge over the River Frome, dating from the early to mid-16th century and has been restored. It is constructed of ashlar and coursed, squared rubble. The bridge features three semi-circular arches, each with keystones, and has cutwaters topped with a weather capping parapet. It is noted in historical records by Leland, who mentioned riding over "Fressheford Bridge, of two or three faire new arches of stone."
