Description

A terrace of four houses built in the early to mid-19th century. Nos. 1 and 3 are faced with ashlar, while Nos. 5 and 6 are of rubble, originally rendered. The roofs are slate, with coped raised verges. The houses are three storeys high, with a basement to Nos. 1 and 3. Each house has two glazing bar sash windows. A cast iron balconette is present at No. 6. The front door, featuring six panels and sheltered by a flat stone hood supported on brackets, is found at Nos. 5 and 6. The group value of Woodside Cottages lies in their cohesive architectural style and contribution to the streetscape.
