Formerly known as: Burway Cottage BROMFIELD ROAD. Tollhouse. Mid C19 with later additions. Painted brick and stone rubble; plain tile roof with slate to rear gables; tall brick stack to rear. 2-storeys; 3-window range: to left, C20, 3-light casement in stone rubble bay, to right, 2 fixed lights with heavy crossed glazing bars in broad architraves. Central C20 plank door and, to right, similar light with central mullion and casement, and brick bay with similar lights; pentice porch on rustic posts. Similar light to right returned side, over C20 casements; left gable has brick flue. Two C20 gable wings to rear. INTERIOR: corner fireplace, ground floor right; door and window to right, transposed.
