Description
York House is a house from the early 17th century located on Corve Street in Ludlow. It features a timber-frame structure with brick and plaster infill and a plain tile roof added in the 20th century, along with a brick stack at the rear. The building stands three stories high and has a three-window range with 20th-century casements set in close studding. There are three gables, each with casements in moulded cases, also set in close studding, and arch braces above. The gables are adorned with pairs of enriched console brackets and chevron braces on the central gable panels. To the left, there is a 17th-century plank door with stud and strap hinges, while 20th-century casements flank a 20th-century door situated between fluted consoles. The ends of the building feature enriched consoles beneath a moulded bressummer.
