Description

The Hurst and Pentrenant Vault is a large family burial vault located approximately 20 metres southwest of the tower of the Church of St George. It dates from the mid-19th century and is constructed from limestone ashlar. The vault features a gabled slab roof at ground level, which has a roll-moulded ridge and gable-ends pierced with trefoil designs. It is enclosed by a cast iron railing and is associated with the Hurst and Pentrenant families.
