LESBURY LESBURY VILLAGE (North side) Herdman vault to north of tower of Church of St. Mary

GV II

Family Vault, dated 1827. Sandstone ashlar. Rectangular structure c.4 x 3 metres with diagonal buttresses at western angles. West face shows channeled rusticated and blocked segmental arch under tablet inscribed 'THE FAMILY VAULT OF DOCTOR HERDMAN' with date. Moulded cornice. Exposed footings of underlying earlier structure on south.
