Description
The Bradshaw Mausoleum, located in Halton Churchyard, is a family vault dating from around 1775. It features sandstone walls that are roughly squared and coursed, with an ashlar front. The slate roof has collapsed onto the stone barrel vault. The mausoleum is partly built into a hillside and has a three-bay facade that is divided horizontally by a moulded string. The lower section displays chamfered rustication, with a central blocked doorway flanked by two round-headed niches that contain urns. Above this, the plain ashlar section has a central panel that is now blank, with recessed panels on each side that feature carved swags. The structure is topped with a pedimented gable.
